Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic hereditary disease associated with T-cell dysfunction, causing the immune system to attack healthy skin cells in error. This leads to the up-regulation of keratinocytes and endothelial cells leading to plaques (dry red skin lesions) with sliver scales. These plaques are most commonly found on the elbow, knee, and scalp, but can be found anywhere in the body including nail bed and chest. Tissue Solutions can support your research by collecting and processing lesional or non-lesional punch biopsies from fully consented psoriasis donors to your own project specifications. Tissue Solutions punch biopsy samples include the epidermis, dermis, and superficial subcutaneous fat layers which are suitable for a variety of research applications including but not limited to; pharmacokinetics, metabolism, permeability, toxicology, genetic studies, and primary cell isolations. Fresh samples are shipped in the recommended medium on the same day of collection. Please contact us to discuss your project requirements or request a quote today.
